But maybe I can just tell you about some memorable things that have happened in my life:

• Judged the Lettering category for the Type Directors Club TDC70 competition.

• Once rescued a cat out of a tree with a strawberry and a 10 foot stick.

• Performed at PS1 MoMA with the Dirt Palace without any pants on.

• Was a panelist for the 2023 Kernference hosted by Goodtype.

• Was featured by Google in a Grow With Google documercial.

• Relocated our business across the country because my wife’s family’s home burned down in a wildfire.

• Snuck into Woodstock ‘94 through a hole in the fence when I was 13 and saw lots of naked people.

• Taught hand-lettering all over the globe, from the Google Headquarters in New York to Reykjavik Letterpress in Iceland.

• Got two tattoos while blindfolded, not knowing what they’d be until they were done.

• Worked for director Michel Gondry during college.

• Batted cleanup on a girls’ softball team.

• Wrote some songs and recorded an EP with my band at Machines With Magnets.

• Reared three children who have not been to jail…yet. (My oldest is 8 and the twins are 4.)
